Kaneko in Omaha

I am really excited about the Kaneko project initiated by the internationally-known artist, Jun Kaneko. He has kept his studio in downtown Omaha despite many opportunities to move elsewhere, namely Japan. His works are huge! Recently, I've taken a few tours of the in-progress facilities that are The Kaneko . Here are some photos I took.

Meander Exhibition: May 24, 2008

I will be participating in a collaborative exhibition in Minneapolis this May. Fifteen artists have been chosen to work together in the amazingly rustic gallery space of the Soap Factory. Our theme is 'meander'. I'll be up in Minneapolis working on this show from May 19 to the 24th, so look me up!

Hecadecimal release on Future:Komp

My friend Josh (aka:Heckadecimal) just released some tracks, free to download, at www.futurekomp.net. He asked me to create his album artwork and I gleefully agreed. I love his music, the sounds, the approach, the meandering tempos. Check it out!

Mother Earth Gardens Shirt

I'm excited to show off these shirts. I made the illustration for my friends' neighborhood garden center in Minneapolis, Mother Earth Gardens.

Engaged

I recently got engaged to Daphne Eck, the most wonderful girl I've ever met!
Here are some pics of the rings (yeah, I sweetened the deal with two rings instead of one). The rockish looking one is a small piece of meteorite.

Collaboration: Table

size: 40"x20"x16"

Recently, my friend Sam Setterlund and I made this table out of scraps of wood left over from various projects. The table has two threaded steel rods running the length of the table top. Holes were drilled in the slats to undulate their positions. It was sold just recently at a art sale in Minneapolis.
