Recently, my friend Sam Setterlund and I made this table out of scraps of wood left over from various projects. The table has two threaded steel rods running the length of the table top. Holes were drilled in the slats to undulate their positions. It was sold just recently at a art sale in Minneapolis.
Check out his portfolio here.

Graphite Sequencer documentation
These disk drawings are part of my Graphite Sequencer project. They are drawings from participants from various venues where this project was installed. I spent some time scanning and recording the audio that comes from playing them on my custom turntable. It has two wires that brush along the inner and outer rings of the disks. The graphite conducts electricity and the various lines cause changes in the sound produced from a basic tone generator.
Here's a link to the project description.
Here's a link to the disks and audio.

Science Museum Workshop
Today and tomorrow I will be helping with workshops with the Science Museums of Minnesota's Learning Technologies Center.
This is a week-long workshop where adult participants explore possibilities of overlap and interaction between science, art, and music through simple, programable controllers, basic electronics, and common materials. Here is a link to some projects they have done in past workshops.

I will be informally presenting my Graphite Sequencer project and participating in some workshops as a guest artist.
Pretty cool! I'm excited!

Fresh off the Prototyper
Here are some quick pictures of my latest 3D prints. They are objects made in Form-Z by affecting the geometry through the light and dark points of an image. My sources were images with gradient patterns, google earth images, and a color wheel. The light areas of the images pushed the geometry up and the darker areas styed low. I can explain more if anyone wants to know.
